Basic Local Service Fees

Pine Drive Telephone Company is a quality telecommunications service provider who provides basic and enhanced telecommunications services, at reasonable rates, within its service territory of west central Pueblo County and southeastern Custer County. Basic services (Touch-tone service is part of the basic local service rate) are offered at the following rates:

    Monthly Service Charge
Single Party Residence Service:   $21.22

Directory Assistance, per occurrence:   $ 0.95
Emergency 911 services: (Pueblo County)   $1.81*
(Custer County)   $1.75*
*Surcharges for E-911 may be charged according to governmentalassessments.    
Other Basic Service Charges that appear on the monthly bill:    
Federal Subscriber Line Charge, Residential Line:   $6.50
Federal Subscriber Line Charge, Business Line:   $9.20
Federal Access Recovery Charge (ARC), Business Line:   $3.00
Federal Universal Service Charge   28.9%
Colorado Universal Service Charge:   2.6%
Telephone Relay Service Surcharge: $ 0.06 Colorado 911 Surcharge:   $0.09
Colorado 988 Surcharge:   $0.18
Federal Excise Tax (3%) plus Colorado (2.9%) and local (1-2%) sales taxes apply to most charges.    
Toll Blocking is available at no charge for low-income customers that qualify.    

**Low-income individuals may be eligible for the Lifeline telephone assistance program and receive discounts from the basic local service charge through federally specified telephone assistance plans. Lifeline is a program that helps lower-income consumers to obtain basic telephone service by providing reduced monthly subscription charges. Contact the business office for more information on eligibility and applications. Please note: Lifeline is a government assistance program; the service is non-transferable, only eligible consumers may enroll in the program, and the program is limited to one discount per household.
